Internet connection in Bacheli

The internet connection here has suddenly improved.

For the last 18 months we've been receiving signal via GPRS, suddenly we can get EDGE. Can't believe the difference in speed. We have just had a 30 min connection with video to the UK using Skype, and can also use MSN Messenger with video. Perfect soud and vision.

Sory to be a pain are you using a turkcell mobile dongle and are you now getting 3g instead of 2g. We could only get 2g at Glass View Bay in the summer.

We are using the 3g dongle @ 60YTL for the month. Don't download anything, only surf the net and use facebook daily, check emails, skype, use msn messenger and the connection now is excellent

Edge is the 3G turkcell broadband connection, today our old GPRS signal on the dongle was suddenly replaced by an Edge signal, and the speed went up by a factor of about x 15 times faster...lovely.....Ok you don't need to slide down the road now suntanman !!

can you explain why signal has suddenly changed we are near bacheli and have bee put of getting 3g because of poor conection/speed as I must be able to use skype, is this sudden change a permanent one

Could be that they have at last erected a new mast, they did tell me they were going to do this soon - that was in 2007!! I would like to know where abouts it is if anyone knows.
