I must have taken leave of my senses when I came back to the UK 2 weeks ago, for the past few nights I have been a victim of the fireworks for idiots syndrome, my ears are shot away and I feel quite sick from the smell of sulphar. I do have a particular axe to grind over this as my beloved Daisy (my mini schnauzer) died of heart failure due to fireworks 3 years ago on November 4th. These things should be banned or at the very least have that dreadful bang removed, I cannot imagine how many animals are terrified at this time of year, the RSPCA should do something.

When I lived in the UK I always kept my dogs in around bonfire night and had the TV quite loud, so there was no problem.

Saw on the news yesterday Dee that a woman was killed after some moron put a firework through her letterbox and set the house on fire!! I agree they should be banned or at least licensed so that only the professional pyrotechnic guys have access to them.

some of the displays that they hold are fine as long as they are supervised, but I have always said why dont they make fireworks that do not go bang at the end, very frightening for the old/young/animals

nurse I agree with you and they should only be licensed for Nov 5th. The morons who 'murdered' that woman should be shot imo, but they will probably get probation :(
