Denise you are young and there isnt a lot to do for your age here, but you will find that there are lot of friends on this board who meet up for meals nights out etc you will be surprised, let people know that you need to get together even for a chat.

Denise,

It takes time to settle into a new country. And remember all your family are here if you went back you would miss them terribly.

I think it's possible to find the job, it's just the pay, whether or not you will be willing to work for that little. I just started working for the local estate agy., I do 3 days a week for 1000 tl a month, no commission. Some people might say that's not worth getting out of bed for, but I am happy with it, it gets me out and about and the people I work with are all lovely. So keep looking and stay positive.

Give the kid a break she has a lot going on at the minute not only with work.

I am not surprised she get a bit down at times.

Hi Supermaids

In your title you said 'sometimes'. 'Sometimes' is transitory and not forever.

Thats great, this suggests that there are real moments when you feel more positive about NC. A good strategy when you are down, would be to focus on those things and moments that you do like about NC.

It may not chnge the reality of the situation, but it might help you to feel more resourceful when you need to be.

Good luck and I hope things get better for you

Hi, Dont be sorry!!! It is a huge upheaval to relocate anywhere let alone a new country, no matter what age or who you are. Some days I feel a bit low if things are not going to plan and wish I was back in the Uk in more familar surroundings.....but after a recent trip back, I missed it here too!! It must be hard with a very young child and looking for work as you are still very young. I am not sure but there may be a 'mums and toddlers' group you could join to meet other young parents, I think maybe Black Olives do something like that. Maybe Mums on here could advise you. Best Wishes.
