For those who have been waiting for their Residency paperwork to be done at Lefkosa now I know the reason why I got the girls in the Driving School to pick mine up, they went back after 3 weeks/4 weeks/5 weeks and today the poor girl asked why are they taking so long to do when you tell people to come back after 3 weeks, he said they dont have time to look through the files on the floor, the girl said it was about 3 ft high and checked through the lot and mine was there, the guy said to her Well you have more time than us. SO FOR 60ytl is it really worth all the hanging around in Lefkosa and the time I know some people are going to throw back i got mine easy well you are lucky this is the 3rd year they have lost mine. Never again

We used the girls from the driving school as well for the first time. Ours were ready today (although not ready last Friday) exactly 1 calendar month since our application.

It was such a coincidence that they were not ready on Friday but that they were today it makes me wonder if they had them put to the top of the pile.

I have to ask how do you think that the "girls" get all these applications, not by joining the queue I doubt,so in fact anyone who does use them is part of the "black economy" and actually adds on to the time it takes for the honest applicant who waits in line but is turned away because of the back handers dished out. Just a thought,

No Batgirl, they have to go and check the big pile of files on the FLOOR which Lefkosa workers say they havent time to do, if you are lucky enough to get yours when you go thats great but for us who have been waiting for weeks and they still cant find them, then the girls will do it for you, they dont just jump the queue, they go and sort out the files, I think the people behind the desk are happy for them to go as it makes their work easier.

I for one would not be happy in the knowledge that anyone can just wander into a government office and go through a bundle of files containing personal information ,the mind boggles as to who can access these documents and get paid for it!

It doesn't work like that as I asked, they look at a list to find out which ones have been processed and they show them the names of the ones they are looking for, and are told where they would be, most people who have been to lefkosa do not have all their personal things in their files, all they want is your passport and little pink book, the girls are well known with the office, so its our choice if we would rather get the girls to do the tedious task for us. They are not there to go through all the files they look for the names on the outside and then they take what is needed and put the file in another pile, I would say this cuts the people behind the desk work in half

What is Jock, queueing up for hours and they have lost your file each time you go for weeks, or the girls doing it for you, cant see a problem, but its everyones choice, I for one think its ok,
