Have noticed some of the papers are now limiting how many times a month you can read the stories on line, usually only once or twice. The golden age of the internet is passing fast as big buisness gets it claws into it and makes us pay for everything.

RE msg 2, karakum5c: (...) The golden age of the internet is passing fast as big buisness gets it claws into it and makes us pay for everything. (...)

=> Mr. Murdoch buys the intellectual property of journalists (he pays them a salary or a free lance fee) and publishes it on paper or on the Internet. Give me one reason why we, the readers, should *not* pay to read what Mr. Murdoch offers (to sell!) us?

Don't read the papers and don't look at the websites. So, for me, if all newspapers closed down tomorrow I, for one, wouldn't miss them and, anyway, think of all the trees we would save.
