Cypriot/ Karpaz donkey - Assistance with a book for children

I write books for children, and I have been asked write about the different breeds of donkeys including the Cypriot donkey. I am in need of any information about the history of the breed, a good description of its appearance including height. The book will be published as Know Your Donkeys and will join the series of Know Your..... books which cover sheep, cattle horses and pigs.



Any information would be greatly appreciated.

The tallest donkeys in Cyprus are found in Lefka. It is true and I love repeating it becasue my wife comes from Lefka

ooooo, what a wonderful idea for a childrens book! I think i might want to read that too...donkeys are so hardy and strong, and cute as buttons too...please kep us informed as to when it will come out!

When the book is published please let us know at the Ozankoy Bookshop. We have the Childrens Library and I would like to buy a couple of copies for that but perhaps we could also sell some for you. I have a friend who has three rescued Cyprus donkeys if she can be of help I know she would.

Any donations to the library of childrens books for the resident English kids to read would be wonderful. We would be happy to buy your unwanted kids books if necessary.

Is there more than one colour, do they have a white under belly? Any details about their appearance, no matter how insignificant, would be helpful.
