The man at the bottom of the Karmi road, by the parking area near the junction, is fantastic.

The best one is Go to the Colony Hotel, there is a large Bank next door with an alley next to it, go down there just before Gulan Kebabs there is a small inlet at the back is the shoe repairers

Opposite the Dome hotel is a shoe shop. They make their own shoes and they also do shoe repairs. Not so cheap as the one at the back of Kombos but much better quality.

This reminds me of an old (Cypriot) joke!!

a Cypriot went nto the village cobbler and asked for his shoes to be re-soled. He was told "2 days later". Off he went and the next day he was picked up by the police for burglary. He was in prison for 3 years. On his release he went back to the cobbler and asked for his shoes................. He was told "2 days later".

I didnt find it hilarious, but it does show the lazy, later, later (sonra sonra) irony isnt lost on the locals either!!!
