Has anyone any experience of this ?

Do plans need to be submitted, permissions granted etc. or is it just a case of "get on with it".

Are there any building regs. to follow ?

If I were you Serefe, I'd check with the planning people at the Ministry of Interior. And check your neighbours are all happy with your conversion - and none of them are related to anyone big in the council! (see my thread about our garden shed)
