Hi All

Can anyone help me?

I would like to know if there are any websites in Cyprus that I would be able to purchase furniture for my flat in Alsancak from London?? Also any advice on costs? Would it be cheaper to furnish from TRNC or London? This includes all furniture and appliances..

Any help is much appreciated..

Hi Gailforce,

If you scrolldown the page and go to the anyone buying at crystal bay marina there are some links in this that will give you information of companies that do furniture packages and also the costs involved.

Regards

Hi Gailforce

I used Karen as well, the furniture was made (really, it was handmade) by Toros. The photos on the Kavankoy Apartments Part 2 thread are examples of the furniture and curtains.

Hi

We also used homefronts for all our furniture, ordered over the phone, discussed fabrics etc. Paid 50% upfront and arranged delivery for the day after we arrived everything went according to plan. We were very pleased. We did buy all our bedding etc in England, and took over as much as we could in the way of small electrical items, dishes etc. Hope this helps.

We have an apartment at TBV and Yazade House Interiors (lady called Kay) kitted us out from top to bottom. Kay sorted everything out for us and it was all done via e-mail. She provided us with a great service and we were very pleased with the results. I can highly recommend Kay. Her website address is theyazadehouse.com

www.olgungroup.com have supplied many a satisfied property owner with high spec quality furniture at competitive prices, highly recommended, english speaking, no "hard sell" just great people who have been in the business a lot longer than most of the high street shops.

Help! I have been in contact with so many furniture stores and all have come back with really ridiculous prices for what I see to be very basic furniture. White goods are really over priced too. I have quite a tight budget and would like to complete the whole furnishing for £3500 can anyone please help me????

Hi Cooper,

Thanks for that. I have been on Fiskos's website, they don't seem to have any prices, do you know if they offer package deals and if they are reasonably priced??

Hi Gailforce

Fiskos are reasonably priced but i cant recall exact prices if you email them they will give you some idea they will also go out and measure windows for you so when you go over you can just go in to chose curtains. frank & joan have a new Siemens white goods pacage available for about £1,200.

Hi Gailforce

We did lots of searching and pricing. We have bought through Olgun (mentioned above by Wizard). It appeared to be better quality, choice and more modern though no more expensive than Homefront, Fiskos etc. They have done most of the golf apartments. We are extemely happy with their advice, range and service.

Happy shopping

Another option are auctions. Some good furniture bargains among the lots. There are complete home contents where people are selling up and moving on.

http://www.cypyp.com/amandas is an example.

gailforce,

I am sorry to say, but if you are looking to furnish a whole house including white goods, with any degree of quality then you will have a big problem.

You do not give the size of your place but white goods alone, buying here or Uk will cost around £1,000. Here curtains etc another £500+. TV - £500+ etc

I would suggest you decide the type of furniture you desire and walk around shops in UK and work out the cost. Whatever you see there will not be far off from cost here.

Remember that if you buy everything new in UK and import you could be liable to up to 40% customs duty.

I do not wish to sound negative, more realistic.
