We all know Isralies have no concience when it comes to grabbing land that does not belong to them, so a few donems of prime Greek at present prices should have them snapping it up . Not supprised they are buying, not far to travel when the shit hits the fan in their own back yard which can't be to far away now. D.N

Surely this has been on the cards and predicted on here a long time ago so it is no surprise to me, Paul.

Dont know what the ROC is moaning about, most of us predicted that with them going the ECHR route instead of solving the land issue by negotiations, this would happen. So now the ROC has managed to sour negotiations by appearing to go behind the backs of TC negotiators and at the same time have merely replaced EU buyers with non EU.

I think the tide is turning against the roc, people and governments are seeing that they want all and give nothing in return to solve the Cyprus problem.

The GC's should not have attempted genocide against the TC's nor lied about saying yes in 2004. I would much prefer to live with the Israelies, bring em on. Troodo.

it seems to me that many of these postings underscore the tragic situation the gc's have put themselves in unable to clobber turkey they have had more sucess in their efforts to hobble the north's investments it's not that they have no legal case at all for their restitution dreams, they probably do no, it's by being in blank denial of the facts on the ground and the continuing passage of time that ensures they will continue to inhabit a blind alley very much of their own making: while only a few greek-cypriot thinkers are courageous enough to see things as they really are and brits need reminding there are other peoples and many sources of tourism revenue in the world, dubai's unfortunate "the world" project apart

I have to admit at being dubious about these sort of claims. 'The Brits have wised up to being ripped off in NC, we need find others to take their place. Ah, lets tell the Israelis that they are investing, some might take notice & want to jump in.'

Come on messageno.4, aren't you being a trifle racist. Any Jews money is as good as ours, and if the land which they are buying is 'exchange land' as is that bought by many ex pats, what difference does it make. Anything that makes TRNC a better place economically c\an't be bad. It must help with the future. As some of my best friends are Jewish, I am a little biased, I guess, but then I have many Moslem friends, Christian friends, Hindu friends etc\, all of whom have different believes on the acceptable and the unacceptable. Seems to me that the only people who feel it unacceptable for property tobe purchased here is the Greek Cypriots (and I have friends among those too). The future of North Cyprus gets more interesting every day. And have yo0u seen the latest news about the demands which Christofias intends to make to the EU! How on earth the new kids on the block (Cyprus in the EU) feel they can dictate to the 'oldies' is quite beyond me. It could be beyond Christofias in th

It doesn t matter a jot to me what the religion is of people that want to invest in the T.R.N.C.In my opinion any investment is good investment. Its time that some people on here took their heads out of the sand and started to think outside the box.Things are starting to move on, so lets look forwards instead of backwards, Paul.

If only the prophets who say that 2010 willo be for TRNC and the TC's are correct. Just to make sure I am rushing off to buy all the candles I can and light them; b uy in a few prayer mats and fall on them regularly; make sure that I say the Daily Office (as in church!) and rally round all my fcriends around the world to support the rights of TC's. Any other 'insurance' I can take out, just in case the 'prophets' need a helping hand?

Hm, GC's and those like dixie normus can get relaxed. Israelis are not coming. Just like many other reports about Israel this one is greatly exaggerated. How can I be so sure? Well, I am Israeli and believe me I did my homework searching for quality information about NC (including investments, travel etc). Unfortunately (and luckily for others) NC is still terra incognita for Israeli investors and tourism business. Those few companies that are rumored to have some share of Israeli ownership do not advertise anything here. Over the last three years only SeaTerra has put some banner ads on the local news portal for a couple of weeks. It all sounds very strange to me. From time to time I see posts about "the number of israeli builders/developers". On the other hand, considering the current property market climate I wonder why (if they are real) don't they advertise their business in Israel?

'Why would Israelis want to live in a Muslim country?' Because they can. Oh and you could ask the same about Russians.
