I agree, too much. You don't say what year it is, but I would suggest a more realistic price, bearing in mind your circumstances and the recession and the state of the local economy, and the state of the local second hand banger market, would be £6K. Why not just drive it home to UK?

Thanks Geoff, but this is no banger. Also, ronie, I have owned 4 other sports cars and this is the most enjoyable drive and the best looking. I have just turned down 7K (see for sale pages). Sorry everyone, I never intended this should be on the general posts page.

Well you should put it in the Sales section then! And you still don't advise how old it is?

Thanks. I still reckon you won't sell it for more than £6K

Correct me if I am wrong but I think you have to pay 60% import tax on Japanese imports, therefore the price seems fair.

Might seem fair, but it ain't for a car of that age. The same car in UK would be worth about GBP3K. Add on your import tax .. well YOU can do the sums same as me

A quick look at autotrader shows that you cannot buy a car of this age for 3k. A 2000 model is being sold for £5500. Reg55 is selling a 2003 model with less mileage.

Reg Keep the car if possible, don't sell for a song........ someone will come along soon, maybe if you wrap a big red ribbon round it and put a photo up on forum some generous guy might buy it for his lady love........

Geoff this car was for sale at 11,950 4 months ago, so by your kind offer, the price has now reduced by 50% ? (I also worked for C&W - 11 yrs in UK - so pse leave me alone for old times sake!!) Chris

Oh! An ex-C&W man selling this car. That puts a different complexion on it. It will for sure be in above average condition so the asking price of £7K is very reasonable. Cheers, Geoff Famagusta
