Could anyone please tell me if its possible to get a sat/nav programme for TRNC. I have a Tom Tom 910 GO. I have contacted Tom Tom and been told that(believe this or not) that due to the war there is no GPRS maps. If there is not one for Tom Tom is there a TRNC version which is not too expensive, if so where can i get one from.

No Satnav works here, and really, you don't need one. We're hardly big enough to warrant it.

The roads go east to west, and vice versa, or north to south, or vice versa. The road signs are quite adequate.

A free local map can be picked up at most shops, bars or restaurants.

Hello Trevor

Navigation on a small sunny island I find is fairly easy - as long as it's not volcanic (with a hole in the middle), and even easier in Cyprus as you only have half an island in which to get lost. Once you are lost, establish where the sun is and the time of day, then head downhill. It can't then be long before you fall off the end and then you know you've found the coast. If you haven't fallen off, you only have to decide whether to turn left or right.

Hope this helps, it always works for me!

Cheers

Jo
