We use the exchange place opposite the Dome Hotel....found it to give a better rate than others.



Their number is 0392 815 0137 if you want to find out their present rate.

We have always been given about 1.50 or 2tl below the rate that XE shows on the computer. Yesterday, before we went, we checked the rate and it was showing almost 2.52 which meant we should have received about 2.50 to the pound. We were given 2.47tl. We won't be going there again. We always use the one on the main road from Girne heading for Lapta, just past the water fountain roundabout. They are always consistant and fair with their exchanges.

I have always used the one opposite the Dome they give the best rates, dont know how or why you were ripped off, I got 2.45 thats good

Kozan Doviz / Speed Cash just behind the Bandabuliya around the corner from the main street in Girne is usually the best (avoid the one in the shop that is on the corner itself). There is also another good one a few doors up across the road on the main shopping street from this (can't remember the name) but its rates become less favourable after around 5 -6 pm when the Kozan Doviz shuts. I always check both before changing money you can see the rates on a screen or board for both.



All of the other ones down the next parallel side street towards Kibtech are consistently much worse

You can see the rate opposite the Dome without even going in. Their rate is never bettered in Girne.

Once a month I check 3/4 exchange offices for Sterling exchange.

I invariably find that Moonstar Doviz is at least equal to a few others and better than most.
