Came home to find a new catalogue had been delivered all down the street. I even enjoyed 'reading' the catalogue for ideas. Sad but true.

Sad and a shame we are not officially 'allowed' to bring the stuff back over the border.

It's the English 2010 copy, with all prices in €'s. Map in the back directs you to the Strovolos store in the south.

re msg 10, too right, i don't know anyone who can afford to shop in the furniture stores here on the wages we earn. There is a shop opposite where i work which are selling a bed for 2,500TL and i'm sure you can buy a very similar bed in IKEA for about €250. I certainly can't afford to shop in the North, even silly little things like stationary in IKEA are at least 50% cheaper than stationary shops here.

I wonder when they border police will see sense, why don't they just charge everyone 5% tax or something like that for bringing IKEA stuff over the border? They will make money for themselves and we will save money by being allowed to shop in the south. I'm all for shopping in the north but i just can't afford to, and i'm sure there are a lot of other people in the same situation

Good morning Yorgozlu the Hippo bids you I see you are again on your mission of offering anybody who dares to criticise the TRNC the opportunity to go home (where ever that may be) this crops up in many of the threads.

I would like to remind you that if it wasn't for the expats its a donkey you would be riding not a Mercedes.

There is a lot wrong here but its the narrow minded blinkered people like you that accept it, it's only by highlighting the anomalies that some day they be corrected.

A wonderful place is the TRNC but Utopia it ain't. Not of course is Great Britain.

I wonder if you lived there for any length of time?

msg 16,

Hippo;(or whatever your name might be/whatever youmay look like)

Critisizing and slugging off are two different things.Get your points at wright direction first of all.

I dont have a mercedes,unless you are willing to buy one for me.

One cant help but be narrow minded like you brits after living there for 23 years.

ALSO;

I'd remind you of an english saying;

IF YOU CANT TAKE IT, DONT GIVE IT.
