Hi my dad is visiting and needs two new button cell batteries for his blood sugar monitor - they are CR2032 ones - about the size of a 10p piece. Does anyone know where we can buy them from? We have tried some of the supermarkets, chemists and an electrical shop in Alsancak/lapta area - but no luck so far! Thanks T

Hi, Yes, some of the phone shops stock them, I have also bought mine a while ago from a watch shop down near the sea in Kyrenia, at the bottom of the road with the Kibtec office in..no guarantee it's still there 'though! Diana

Why not recharge the old one(s) for the time you are here? You can buy a cheap AA (NiMh) charger in several supermarkets - place your button cell between the two AA Nicads, or NiMh's, and make sure you have the polarity right - i.e., negative (-) at rear and positive (+) at the front. 10 - 15 minutes charge time, or less, should see the button cell(s) charged up again - enough for your purpose!
