Can someone please tell me if Creme Fraiche is available in the TRNC and where. If not is there a good substitute I could use in the recipe. Thank you.

It's not the same, and definitely won't be as good as making your own. But if you're really stuck, and dont have time to make it, Suzme yogurt is the closest thing you'll get to it in the shops.

Yesterday we got some free samples at Supreme. 2 chocolate bars at the till. Very nice they were too. Also a packet that you add to water to make a stock to cook with rice. Good to know that Creme Fraiche is now available at Supreme. Maybe next we will be able to get cottage cheese easily over here.

I wondered how long it would take for a smart comment to be posted....obviously a spelling error by the youngest of the illeli sisters who happened to be at my house and wanted to post the special offers for customers to see.How perfect is your turkish clairecat? This really makes me cross there is nothing funny in your question at all,This was posted by a 13 year old who realised all by herself that she had made a spelling error and was embarassed enough. Is there a purpose to your question or did you not realise that in error SOAP had been written instead of SOUP.

Yes, actually I realised when I was driving home and I must apologise for my comment. It is one of the most common mistakes made by my Turkish students but for some reason it didn't twig this morning. I certainly did not mean to upset anybody. PS The comment regarding my Turkish obviously means we have never met!

It's a great store and the iLeLi girls are obviously very bright and a credit to their parents. Good business brains too - never miss an opportunity to make a sale!
