| Hi all, this is my 1st Xmas here but still, shivering in my little kitchen with a couple of little pans and the oven (sorry to get side tracked but I'm renting at the mo and the landlord is dragging his feet about getting the central heating fixed!) I would still like to attempt a home made Christmas lunch with all the trimmings! I spotted the turkeys in the supermarket the other day but they're massive. There's only me & hubby. Does anyone have any suggestions for anywhere that does little uns, or what about getting 'boned and rolled' turkey (and what do you ask for in Turkish!)? Thanks. |

| I like turkey too! But a small one really is false economy as you are paying for bone, not meat. If you see a nice fresh one, perhaps someone will go halves with you? Get the butcher to split it down the middle so to speak? I used to buy half turkeys like that in the UK and they really do offer more value pound for pound. |
