It's Christmas time ... and I hear the snow and skiing is superb in the Troodos Mountains... we are planning on a trip soon ...can anyone help with suggestions for a very reasonably priced hotel, open fire would be great?... 'Tuesday' maybe we will see you there?

I have guests over Christmas and quite fancy a day trip to the Troodos area. Having never been before I would be grateful for recommendations of where to visit and how to get there please (via Bostanci crossing).

Easy -cross at Bostanci-follow your nose until you come to a main set of trafficlights turn right in the direction of Karkopetria and its all there in front of you.

There was a web cam last year on Troodos

Thanks Hippo. I've been to Kakopetria but didn't realise that that was it (so to speak). Are there any other villages that you could recommend visiting?

Hippo, thanks, sorry, single white female! Can you tell me how I get to the Bostanci Crossing? After that I am sure I will be OK.... would you recommend a day trip, or an overnight somewhere?

You need to head for Guzelyurt. Its a couple of miles from there but it is signposted
