Wanted: full time, live-in carer and housekeeper for very elderely lady who has low-level dementia but otherwise quite rational and amiable. No heavy duties or special nursing required however applicant will need to have own car and act as chauffer and escort for errands and outings. Specific terms available on discussion, however I am offering an an excellent wage to a wholly trustworthy, capable and dependable person. Your own room and all meals included in a 3 bedroom house in beautiful location probably in or near Esentepe/Turtle Bay. To start in early October. Professional references desireable but not essential. Character references required.

Just read your mail for staff please be very carefull i work in a residential home and character references are not enough you really have to be very carefull people should be police checked and the pova register consulted the elderly are very vunrable please be carefull

Hi Dr Wendy

I am a UK trained and qualified social worker with many years experience in the field of vulnerable adults and older people; currently working in adult placement services. We recruit, assess, train and supervise carers (in much the same way as foster carers are recruited), to support vulnerable adults and older people in their own homes, the community or carers homes. I urge you to be very careful in appointing someone to care for such a vulnerable lady without consulting POVA, CRB check, Employnent and 2 personal refs, and a health check at all possible. This level of vetting I would say is even more important when looking for a carer to work in such isolation. Email me off board if you want to discuss.

My name is Jackie Gilbert FICNHS, i am a qualified Nutritionist. I have worked in the caring profession for 32 years. At this moment I am a Care Team Leader in a 76 bed Residential/Nursing home for the elderly. My speciality is Dementia and I hold ALL the certificates needed and have been CRB cleared. At my home we have 16 dementia clients and quite a few dementia/nursing clients. My family hope to be moving over to North Cyprus later this year and I will be looking for work and would love to be considered if ever you need somebody on the odd days/nights/a week here and there to give the full-time person a break.
