Lynne, Although I have not purchased glasses, ( I assume you are talking of spectacles), I have purchased new lenses and had repairs done, which were about a third of the price of UK.

I have been told by friends to get specs sorted in TRNC as they are cheaper, much cheaper. Been told to take out a current prescription and they will sort it.

yes it's true , prescription glasses are sometimes less than half price , my husband and friends had theirs there , although the higher the prescription lens is , the more likely it will have to go to turkey to be done , not a problem , they send them to you in the uk , excellent service

good luck , simbas

There appears to be the start of horse riding lessons on the main road to tatlisu, although it is not sign posted, but you can see about 4 horses ,stables etc-I am assured it is horse riding. You have to leave the main road and go down what appears to be a dirt track

Chris

I can give you proper directions when John gets back if you are interested!

dear lynneh i have been told spex in north about 10% cheaper than U.K but in the south about 50% cheaper.it all depends on how much you pay already .for example i charge £70 for 3 pairs of single vision (frames and lenses included)where some of my competition would charge £99 for only one of these,if you want any more information e mail me off board.cheers fred.
