Hi has anyone have a multi-region dvd recorder for sale in good working order?

Most DVD players are multi region anyway - in the UK they are not allowed to sell multi region players but the manufacturers always (98%) produce them as multi region and then set them with a simple code to the country/area they are to be sold in.



If you already have a DVD player then google for a multi region code on the make and model - you may well be pleasantly surprised at how simple it is to change a fixed region into multi region!

Some Sony players are not on the list because they can not be unlocked for multi-regions using a simple code via the keypad... I know I've got one...

There you go, a perfect example of the 2% that can not be "fixed". Interested, what model is it please, love a challenge. I have an LG that is the same by the way - but now it has been "fixed" as well.

All I know is that in the 'rump' RoC..98% of DVD players ARE unlocked.. as so many folk from region 3 ( we are region 2 ) live there

mmmmmmm, but it is an EU rule about region locking mate, so the RoC would do whatever it wanted to anyway. You really only suffer if you buy a player in the UK - there the big book of silly rules is law!
