We are bringing over our Sky box and card and need someone to put up a dish and tune the box. We have E Mailed Iceman twice but no response. Can anyone recommend a reliable installer?

Re msg 1

It always used to amaze me that customers would say 'I emailed you 3 months ago., and you've never replied!'

- and yet they never thought to pick the 'phone up and actually speak to us...

I think that there may, just possibly be something wrong with the email address that you are using, or possibly Iceman's email /internet supplier may be 'running on bobbins' - the Internet is notoriously unreliable here in TRNC

Iceman is (we are told ) the best and most reliable - give him a ring - you will find his telephone number either in the TV, or Satellite sections of this Forum, or in the TRNC yellow pages http://www.cypyp.com

Best regards,

Keith.

The Iceman is not the only one to install Sky here.... I can personally recommend Acip from the Satellite shop in Lapta give him a call 0533 8402207.

Hope you are feelin better Keith

Do not cancel your sky subsciption, it is murder trying to get set back up again once you are here. I used Mustafa(Iceman) excellent service and aftercare.

Why do you think you will need your box "re-tuned"?

Thank you for the replies. We have not phoned Ice Man due to being in Uk. We always try E Mail first.

We will not be cancelling Sky subscription as we are only over for a month at a time. We will leave the box as we have bought a spare.

Thanks again everyone.

As Iceman is my 'mate' and I recommend him - I contacted him - as it doesn't do my 'cred' any good...

Dear Flossie

If you take over a box, and then just bring a SKY card, be aware that IF you subscribe to Movies / sports on SKY, you will get a message - >>this is the wrong set top box for this card..<<

It will show the other channels you pay for.

Flossie

What size of dish are you having installed as I understand that you can use 1.8m?

Hi Mark

I understand that and would be happy with the limited channels available and Iceman did visit me but due to further building having to be done the logistics of a 4.2 dish were impractical due to the site . Is there anyone else you would recommend to do a 1.8th as I emailed Mustafa last week if he would do this for me but have had no response from him.

Thanks

David

hi mmmm,

We only have a bog standard package in the Uk no movies. Husband keen to get football so hope we can pick up a sporting channel. We are going to try an 1.8 metre dish and have asked Iceman what we will be able to pick up.

Not got his E Mail yet but will keep checking as we would really like to use him.
