The Christmas Song - Nat King Cole. There again I love anything he sang as he makes everything sound so effortless and mellow

DC

We have a saying in UK, "Music soothes the savage breast". As with all sayings, it does not apply to everyone.

'Fairy tale of New York' seems quite a favourite. I don't think I've ever heard it. Perhaps this year.

And just for a bit of fun, does anyone remember this from 1984? A punk band called the Toy dolls singing Nellie the elephant, it reached number 4 in the xmas charts.

ClaireCat - I can't see the attraction of Fairytale in New York either - who was it who said the old songs are the best - and then she's up and dancing with the rest?!!! Merry Christmas
