| All the aircarft have descended on Istanbul!!!
Just what I saw and experienced this week.
Ercan to Istanbul..great...all on time.
Istanbul to Dnepropetrovsk,an hour's delay,"because of traffic".Gosh,I looked around when about to take off,
there must have been 50 other aircraft on the runways waiting their turn to take-off,and aircraft were landing about 1 every couple of minutes.
Coming back yesterday,aircraft was 2 hours late from Dne.....At 4ish,one employee insisted on collecting the half-tickets by the runway,temperature must have been minus 20,and a galeforce wind.300 people trying to board the flight,freezing in the cold.....then had to circle over Istanbul for an hour awaiting a slot.
Flight to Ercan was 4 hours late taking off,and a change of gate!!!
Nice to see Ercan 4ish in the morning and temperature 16 deg plus.
Oh and a pint of Efes at Istanbul was 19.5TL,!!!!!
Ah well,nice to be back in TRNC

| Hi all,
Supposed to be flying out with easyjet tomorrow morning. Most of their flights were cancelled today.
Don't know whether to just turn up and hope for the best or try and find out before we leave home if it is running.

| Check before departure but in any case leave a lot of extra time to go to the airport.
If you have good travel insurance it may well assist if the flights do not go. |
