My daughters friend is travelling out to stay with us in March and suffers from a very severe nut allergy. Have been able to advise Easyjet of her problem, they have been most helpful, but cannot find contact details for the Pegasus leg of her flight apart from the request form. Has anyone had any experience of this sort of request with Pegasus and their type of response.

To be 100% safe why doesn't she just take her own food for the trip with her? I would not trust the airlines to get it right.

Was once on a Jet2 flight that banned the consumption of nuts on the flight because of this problem

If dust from nuts was a problem then no one would be able to consume them in a public place, as said in previous post take your own food or read the label, I know that on all US domestic flights all packets of nuts have a warning that they may contain nuts.

Msg 4 is correct, severe reactions to nuts can mean a ban on them on a flight is required.

Michael - Msg 1

As there is no on board food supplied with Pegasus (unless you buy it); she can buy edibles in sunny Stansted after security.

Boots or Smiths both have sandwiches and snacks

Hopefully this gets rid of your problem - you should have advised at time of booking (with the exact problem in the correct medical jargon) and does her travel insurance company know of her allergy too? Does your daughter need to have a doctors letter to clear her for travel?

Make sure your friends daughter brings with her, her own supply of adrenaline in case of emergency!

Just to add to nurseawful's comment..

Make sure you have a prescription for the Epipen or adrenalin with you though, had mine confiscated at Istanbul Airport because I didn't have a prescription with me.

Hi all,

Yes travel ins are aware of problem, she also carries a plentiful supply of the Epipen with her at all times.

There is not a problem with airline food as she carries her own with her but if someone in close vicinity was to open a packet of nuts she can have a severe allergic reaction, bit of a problem on an aircraft. Have travelled many times on flights where nuts were not allowed due to a passenger in similiar situation so hope Pegasus are as good.

Have emailled Pegasus with all relevant details but as yet have not had a response. Hopefully soon or will phone number kindly supplied by Scoobydoo.

Thanks to all.

Mike.
