Has anyone ever bought a TRNC property on ebay? I'm just genuinely interested - as this does not strike me as being a simple process - especially given all the issues with titles and PTP etc.,

Buying here through normal means is a recipe for disaster, e-bay will give you no protection at all.



Heard about this scam last week, they are potentially selling repossesions so may be your friend or neighbours house!!!!!

You are only reserving a property when you buy from ebay, you will then be able to take which ever legal steps etc you wish to pursue the purchase. You will not be able to complete the whole purchase through ebay.

If there are any in discrepancies your small reservation deposit is fully refundable!



I am using it as a method of advertising, it is no scam and all repossesions are fully legal and have been agreed and signed off by previous purchaser!



You will be purchasing through a valid and registered North Cyprus Estate agent, and you can obtain any lawyer to verify any of the above details on any of the properties.

I happen to no the bloke personally and his family and if you read back thru posts on here you will see that this is an estate agent trying another angle of selling i.e.E- Bay for his clients. If you can bring direct proof to this board with regard to your pathetic rambling please do so and I will be first in the queue to apoligise.I am sick to death of the slagging offs that people get on this board with no way of protecting themselves or livelyhoods.I await your reply.

I was simply surprised - as this is a novel approach to sell distressed property in a country which is not recognised by anyone except Turkey!



From a legal perspective I can see all kinds of problems for Ebay just on the basis that the TRNC is 'embargoed' by the USA and if the property happened to be on GC land you can multiply the problems by a huge pecuniary damages factor - and not just for Ebay it will also pose problems for your friend NCi2010. It may also affect those who have had the property seized - as their particulars will also be disclosed if matters got out of hand - the Orams comes to mind!



I would strongly suggest that you, NCi2010, take some solid legal advice if you want to avoid any potential problems.

Anyone buying property in North Cyprus is taking a huge gamble, not one to recommend, I certainly wouldn't. Look at the way the legal system treats people for a start, the Days are just one example. Did anyone bid on the last ones advertised on Ebay? I very much doubt it.

If you genuinly live here you must know the nightmare that many people have buying here.



To buy in a "public auction" is fraught with problems even in UK but to buy on line in TRNC where you should know what happens is a recipe for disaster as their is no protection at all for the buyer.



I know Cyprus Today are aware of this mode of selling and will hopefully be doing a piece in the New Year.



My personal opinion is keep away from on line of auction in TRNC, those buying by traditional methods have enough problems.

I love your idea of advertising via ebay. As you are in the business of selling, any medium that raises your profile is good. Take no notice of the usual negative posters (i know they aren't your target market anyway) its the silent majority you are looking to speak to.



Saying all that, I think this forum is pretty much redundant as most normal people have got bored of the same old guff being spouted (except for all those in the biz I know who glance an eye on this forum from time to time to see if there is anything interesting being said.. a rare event... hello my property biz friends.. friendly wave!!).

Right im off, will check this thread in a day or so to see what excellent advice has been spewed up by the same old 'experts on anything everything'
