The Old Tunel Rock Bar in Girne. Doors open 8pm. Live music starts at 11pm on Fridays and midnight on Saturdays. Bar is open until very late...or very early depending on which way you look at it. Resident band is excellent and drinks are really well priced.

As for the Tunel, a lot of young people go there, although the over 25's do as weel, and the music is not pure rock. Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Blur, Stereophonics, Coldplay, Genesis, The Rasmus, Greenday, Radiohead, U2, Lynard Skynard...very wide variety.



Anyway, tell us what you want and maybe other folks on the forum can help you.

Hi all, thought i'd update you for those who remember our planned drive to TRNC leaving this evening..(we did bug you all)...lisas dad has been diagnosed with 'C' today, so all is cancelled until ........? So we are soooo jealous of those of you who are enjoying the lovely sunny place and hope to be there soon to our villa. Will post again to see if anyone needs anything bringing out.

Berty, The Old Tunnel Rock Bar is on road between Colony Hotel and main Girne roundabout, if you were to go from roundabout, its below the Anibal Restaurant on your left hand side.

Tunnel Bar is excellent if you like live music, mostly covers, but great all the same. How about Ice in Alsancak, or Club Nightpark in Girne if you want something more sad??!! There are also plenty of karaoke places! Might be that I am getting old and I hate that kind of thing now, but if it floats your boat. This is not Ayia Napa by the way!

Also the draught fosters is only 2.5 per pint 1- 6 pm !

not so bad - there used be a car sales place next to it and its empty now so people seem to park in there! Also there is also opposite too which is empty land I think.
