Ding dong merrily on high

The sun is shining in the sky

The pressies are wrapped under the tree

The kebabs are ordered for hubby and for me

Tomorrow its off down to the beach for a walk

Then home for roast dinner - what no pork !

An afternoon follows of Xmas tv and BBC Prime

With shows that we have seen time after time

Seasonal xmas cards decorate our walls and shelves

But as we get no post we have written them ourselves

Outside the window and over the blue water we can see

White white snow is capping the mountains of Turkey

Which reminds us of all that we have left behind

Manic shopping, traffic jams, wintery conditions we would find

Grandchildrens rosey faces and excited cries

At the snowflakes falling from the skies

Xams eve spent with family drinking, eating sausage rolls and PORK pie !

ah well

Ding dong merrily on high the sun is shining in the sky.
