Is it true ? just had a meeting with a business colleague and he tells me that a the law on building restrictions is being lifted so developers can build more on previously banned sites .The interesting thing for me is though ,is that he said the restriction on the amount of land a expat can purchase is now up to 5 donums .I did hear something about this sometime ago (I think it may of been part of the new governments manifesto) . Although this guy is in the know ( he told me about continental having difficulties about August time ) I am not sure whether he is correct so has anybody heard anything . Oh and by the way he reckons the Orams case will be sent back to the European court but only have there is apolitical settlement .he also said that the president will publish the points that they have agreement on be interesting to see if he is correct

Yes, so you can by 5 doums and wait 2 years to get your PTP and then be turned down....or get your PTP and then wait another 3-5 years to get your title deeds.

Sounds like a redherring to allow foreigners to buy more land and or property which they may never actually own

Looks like someone wants to show they are doing something to help foreigners - when in reality nothng has really changed - only you'll part with even more money for something you may never actually own
