Present consensus of the people on both sides as recents polls are showing is no to unıfication. We are two peoples and no matter however you try İ just don’t believe we can reside together. Two men from the same political background ‘do not a nation make’. İf they move towards some kind of an agreement it will be the referendum that will show what the people want. When people on this side voted UBP there was a reason 'hardline nationalists', were voted in. İt was that not everybody desires reunification. The Annan plan is still a sore point. As İ have said true democracy is the will of the majority of the people and not the desire of the few who want their aspirations to succeed for their own political and personal goals. Article is correct historically on both sides people just don’t want unification at present one will try to out do the other not to be seen as the villan of the peace.

Who gives a shit what you two plonkers think.

Leave the people alone and keep your noses out.

The Brits have never done anything anywhere but cause trouble.

And when they could have helped they sat on their hands - as in Cyprus.

Just shut up and stay out of it you irritating prats.

Jeannie: Thanks you for your kind words and Seasonal Greetings to you and your family. Wish you all the best for 2010

Littlejohn: Thanks for taking the time and effort to read the various posts - and of course for your considered view point!!!

There is nothing quite like a robust intellectual debate to stimulate the grey matter! Hope you will feel better soon and Seasonal greetings to you too
