Liz - do you have a sign outside the restaurant in Turkish/English, that only dogs can read, saying something along the lines of:

ALL STRAYS, ABUSED/ABANDONED ANIMALS/JUST NOT SURE? WELCOME!

Because you must have!

Happy Christmas, my love and (don't forget) if I come up on the lottery.....................

She is still with me. and really a beautiful girl Hans did take pictures but due to the site being down no luck. " more have been dumped on me the sad thing is they have tags,Not once ever have I had a street dog just adandoned. These have had love or some sort of care at some stage. They are cheeky enough to take the cushions to lie on. Theycurl into each other every night. This all breaks my heart as I do not have the money to care . We worked it out last night and its scary what they all cost not just food but vets etc. Nomore. Once I find hp0mes I close my heart if ii can xxxxxx

Come on folks, what can we do for Lilli? She is finding that 'birds of the feather flock together' and right on her doorstep, instead that the 'birds' are canine and won't fly away. All these dogs are bad for her business, and also the pastry shop next door and any eating establishment in the area.

Unfortunately the days of 'country life' are gone (I used to go to a restaurant in Cyprus which had dogs, cats, sheep and chickens roaming around - wonderful) and now people want a sophistication that precludes a Doggy Zoo. So, any ideas as to what Lilli can do with the tagged dogs. I reckon someone has dumped them, because they are obviously relatively 'domesticated'.

Or perhaps Guidos should be re-named 'Canine Corner' and every visitor takes a can of dog food.

Come on - help Lilli someone at least with practical ideas, or at least tell of another 'nest' for the 'birds' to fly to.

Trouble is if you start feeding them, then they wont move on

but where KAR has to do something to help out, people cant use Guido's as a dumping ground

Smithy you are so right, the first time you feed them they are yours and will never go away unless you find them new homes.

Liz business is so hard at the moment that i think you do have to start closing your eyes to all these dogs. We all love our animals but humans have to come first and that means you. We are lucky that we dont get that many strays where we are but the few that we do get i just chase them away and try not to think too much about how skinny they are or i would end up like you working to feed the islands stray population.

Unfortunately Smithy, everyone knows what a ''soft touch Liz is when it comes to stray animals and I'm sure that some of these dogs are dumped by their owners near her.

Hi Sue

thats what I have been saying they are being dumped on purpose near Guido's but its a Restaurant not a dogs home what are people thinking of, beggars belief the owners need shooting not the dogs
