They are not allowed to book flights from Ercan. Government thingy. You have to book through a travel agent. You can book TO Ercan.

London Cypriot. You cannot book from Ercan or Lefkosa on their website from the TRNC. Tarry 67. I've used "lastmiute.com" you can book flights to and from Ercan with Turkish. Pete.

Reference message 6. I think you are missing the point here. "Tarry 67" cannot book online with Turkish Airlines from the TRNC. It is just not possible Lefkosa or Ercan do NOT show on the destination list. You can book from outside the TRNC online but not here also Lastminute.com are normally cheaper than using Turkish Airlines own website.

Tom Haven't you a business to run rather sunning yourself in TRNC? In any case you should be drinking beer rather than coffee if you profess to be on holiday! Richard

Hi all, I have just visited the Turkish Airlines Website and found the following; On the first page you can register as living in Cyprus (North) and it will give you a default airport of origin as Lefkosa (ECN). If you register for any other country and want to travel to Ercan, you must select you destination country as TURKEY and then it will allow you to select LEFKOSA as your destination. I believe this is new as Ercan was deliberately left off the THY website so as to comply with the EU embargo. It seems someone is willing to challenge the status quo. Let's see if it lasts. The prices seem to have come down a bit as well! regards, Dermot

Dermot I followed through the instructions registering as North Cyprus on the web page & this is the answer I got "We do not have permission to sell tickets for LEFKOSA flights. Please call the nearest Turkish Airlines Office for further information." If you do it starting in the UK no problem with journey/or return journey to Lefkosa I think its more that they do not wish to compete openly with KHTY (CTA) out of Ercan

Hi Wanderer, Dammit! It looked so good at first. I was able to follow it through for flights from Dublin but I did not think to check it the other way around. Oh well. DD

DD I think they only do it on the phone and through agents I tried I had to come home early in October they wanted £250 one way per person Ercan to Brum or I get £120 tax refundfor the 2 of us Go with Pegasus £137 pp and £75 hire car I'd have paid £130 pp adition for the convenience The BHX to ERC was £219 pp return so you can see that the £250 pp one way was stupid just keeping their side of the bargain with KHTY
