I feel like I am all questions at the mo!

If I were to purchase a laptop to link up to my tv so that I can watch bbc iplayer, movie channels etc, what sort of things should I consider ie memory size, speed etc.

I would appreciate a few suggestions (the more the better) to get me started as I have no idea what size memory would be a reasonable to start with.

Thanks

Have a look at the Acer Aspire Revo, comes with wired keyboard and mouse, around £199 from Amazon.

If you have got a good download speed just down load the programmes you like, over night perhaps, and watch them on your TV at your leasure (for free) Use something like thebox.bz for example. I use it all the time. Also use Identity cloaker to kid your computer that it is in the UK and download for free any TV programmes off BBCI or ITVI. Simple and doesnt need anything special in terms of PC's speed etc. Only thing governing it is the download speed and if its happening over night who cares. Give it a go, also loads of free music too

I have 3G and the download speed has been very good for the last 3 months since they sorted themselves out but I am still undecided whether to carry on with them or move to extend, nethouse etc.

Thank you for the suggestions of using an identity cloaker, I have already signed up to a vpn so can now get bbc etc.

Good point about the HDMI connection as we have this on our tv.

Will probably end up getting one brought from the UK due to the prices
