| Stamp duty as I understand it is 0.5% no matter what (unless you pay late when there are penalties) . Perhaps you are thinking of transfer duty which can be reduced from 6% to 3% for your first purchase if you elect to do so. Aussie |

| Thanks wynyardman Stamp duty seems to be everywhere in the world that used to be British and I guess is just the price of doing business even after VAT KVD etc etc are brought in. Hope things are well with you. Aussie |
