Where in North Cyprus can an MRI scan be done?

Are the prices standard?

If not, who would you recommend?

Thanks' in advance.

Letam have an MRI scanner - they are very good and highly professional. Prices depend on what area you need the scan. Their place for this is opposite the State Hospital in Lefkosa.

My dr. sent me for one in Lefkosia. I think it was Letam and I was charged 300TL. This was about 6 months ago. I will fish the details out for you if you want them.

Hi Folks,

It will be for a scan of one shoulder only.

Not sure if that will affect the price or not.

Thanks' for all your info.

There's Letam in Girne too....just around the corner from Seker Bank on the main high street. Been there before, they're excellent, prices were ok too.

Hi H&NComptuers,

Went to Letam in Girne, they only do ultrasound scans there.

They then phoned Lefkosa branch, and made an appointment for later today.

Drove down, only 20 minutes, got MRI scan done, with report on scan due in two days.

300 tl for the scan

Thanks' to all for for your helpful advice.

Hey Kevan, aww...I thought they may have the MRI scans there too, seeing as it's the same Letam as Lefkosa. I did go there for an ultrasound though hehe. At least you tried your luck, never know unless you go there...thought it could have saved you a journey!

Hi H&NComptuers,

Was for a brain scan for my wife,

but they had no joy finding it,

I could've told them that,

and saved 300tl

A friend is in Medikent hospital today for a knee op following an MRI scan, cost 2500 GBP. Another friend had a knee op at Cyprus Life in February without the MRI and the cost was the same.

Phone Medikent Hospital explain what it is you need and they will give you a price. 0392 680 8080

Tinker,

Take your MRI scans to Dr Can Çobanoğlu in Lefkosa. He is a very well respected Orthopaedic surgeon and first of all he will assess whether an operation is necessary.. he often says not. Unlike some doctors his first reaction to a problem is not to recommend surgery.

His surgery is behind the Lemar that is in the road straight-over at the second roundabout if coming from Metehan crossing. i.e. Left at the roundabout if coming from Girne towards Metehan as you go through Ortaköy.

Address:-

Kitapçı Lütfi Bey Sokç No 17 Ortaköy-Lefkosa

You will find that the "Blue Hospital" locally known as "Magusa Tip Merkezi" in Famagusta has the most modern equipment. Just in case you need it.
