Keeping a lookout for good deals, if we shop with our feet we stand a chance of keeping, if not driving shopping prices down in TRNC.

Here's mine:

Ileli in Alsancak - Grove Dairy Farm English salted butter, 250g. - 3.95TL for 2 (BOGOF).

Supreme Catalkoy - 500ml Guiness 1.95 TL reduced from 4TL. I noticed that the smaller size is still priced at 3.95TL.

Re Guiness - message 2. Tempo reduced to the same price last summer but the expiry date had only 1 week to go. I bought some without looking and it didn't taste very nice. Maybe the heat here had accelerated the degeneration. Now I always check expiry dates on these seeming bargains.

Msg 4 - you are right they have expiry date of 14/1/10 but we are only using them in cooking - they are an ingredient in a very nice beef stew.
