Skype not working well for last 5 days, anyone else experiencing that?

I seem to be having a problem with Skype, I can hear people Ok but people can not hear me, it keeps breaking up and fading in and out. I was wondering if anyone else who was with Extend was having the same problem, it has been like that for a few days now and I have tried ringing at all different times but to no avail.

We use ours a lot and have had no more probs than the normal glitches. On the odd occasion 'they' could'nt hear me, rebooting my machine fixed the problem.



Not Your headphone connection is it?

No not headphones, cos have also tried from my partners computer that has an in built mic and it was not any better. Are you with Extend Vidal?

Yeh, I am in desperate need at the moment, have a friend in crisis, makes you realise how important it is, normally not so important. If it was Extend, I have a Turkcell dongle so would go and buy a month of that just to be in contact

Confirmed msg 1 &2. Our skype via Turkcell3G has been pretty well un-usable this week. Too many missing words and broken connections to have a decent conversation u n l e s s y o u s p e a k l i k e a z o m b i e ..., resorted to texting UK

One thing I can tell you is that if your upload speed is bad/low, then it does cause problems with Skype.

I download TV shows through utorrent. If I want to use Skype, I have to stop the subsequent uploading first. When using Skype, this is the only time the uploading (reseeding) causes problems.

Yes, my Skype is working well in the morning but not in the afternoon. It starts to give problems around 11h. Maybe the more traffic the more slow? I'm using a Telsim Wi-Fi modem.

I just borrowed my friend's Telsim dongle and the skype is clear as a bell. So it seems it is our connection to Extend that is the problem although internet working fine. Am waiting to hear from them

I had a problem with Skype on 2 different occasions so I just deleted and then re-installed and no probs since. I am with extend and get very few problems.

I have justed tested my download speed and upload speed, download is 697kbps but my upload speed is 47kbps which is why I can hear them they can't hear me. Still trying to get through to extend to try and work out why upload is so low, anyone any ideas?

I have spoken with my mum at lunch time via skype and I use Turkcell 3G, no problem at all but as scruff says if you have anything else downloading or open try closing them, I find this helps enormously.
