| I live in Antalya and have done for the past 6 years. As Msg 6 says the cost of a Residency Permit is horrendous. The new price for a 5 year one is around 3200 TL.Also a great deal depends on where you are planning to live.Izmir,Bodrum and Fethiye are a lot colder than Antalya or Alanya during the winter period. If you are planning to rent then a typical apartment say with three bedrooms etc. will cost you around 600 / 750 TL per month in a decent area.To buy is anybodys guess but get a Turk to ask the asking price or you will be ripped off.The other downside is that you cannot buy ' English ' food here unless you are prepared to pay a fortune. We travel to Girne three or four times a year to ' stock up '. Oh, the driving is ten times worse than NC. If you need any other info ask away. Ian |
