He passed away at approx 11.30 am this morning.

He was a lovely man, and will be greatly missed. He was a dear friend to me, and helped me so much when I came to Cyprus. I will never forget him.

My sympathies are with his father and family members at this time.

May he rest in peace.

Will post details of his funeral when I hear.

Please don't shoot the messenger.......

but this is the most I could find out about the funeral arrangements.

Tolgas father wants him to be buried in his village (I don't know the name of the village), so if you want to attend, its best to meet at 'Tolga's' tomorrow morning between 10 and 10.30, and we can hopefully follow someone who knows the way.

This is the only info I could get and it came from a very drunken source......thats why I'm saying Don't shoot the messenger !!!!

If anyone knows any different, please post the details. Thanks.

Tolga will be buried in Goceri today. It is the village in which he was born and where his father lives. I think it is at 11am but have not had confirmation of this yet.

Directions: drive across the mountain as if going to Lefkosa then turn right at the petrol station and drive towards Gonyeli. Take the first right turn and then follow the road along for a coupe of miles until you see signs for Goceri. I don't know where the cemetary is but I'm sure it will be obvious once you get there.

Tolga was our best friend and we loved him very much.

Hi Jo. So sad. In your instructions you say turn right at the garage in the direction of Gonyeli, I am wondering if you meant Guzelyert? just wanted to make sure.

Whistler the road I mean is the one going to Lefkosa from the roundabout in Kyrenia so when you turn right you are heading towards Gonyeli.

For any of the English that are going to his funeral it is custom for the women to cover their heads while in the cemetary.

I am so sorry to hear this news. We stayed in Karsiyaka for 2 months getting ready to move there in this month and went to Tolga's pub and garden centre on numerous occasions. The quiz nights were very popular, and there was always a good atmosphere there. I have some dominoes for him so that dominoes games could be played in the pub. He will be missed, my condolences to his family it is so sad, he was so nice and so young.

Sad news indeed. Tolga was always very good to us and we always looked forward to going to see him whenever we were in TRNC. He will be sadly missed but we will remember him every time we look at the mulberry tree he planted for us.

Coming out Feb14th. Looking forward to seeing you all, but it will be tinged with sadness, for the loss of a very dear friend. I know you lovely people loved the great man, as we did. Thanks for keeping us all informed. Is the bar being kept open? May sound like a silly question, but it would be a lovely thought to still be able to meet up in Tolga's! A tribute to the lovely geezer is that here in England, we still call 5.00 PM 'Tolga Time'

Please keep me up to date

Love you loads

Oh Naci it's been such a horrible week but we had a lovely night on Friday with Bulent and Ahmet and some other friends of Tolga's at the Cabin. Plenty of booze and singing. We were with Gail and we were talking about you coming on the 14th. Nothing happening about the bar at the moment it's much too soon but it breaks my heart every time I get to the top of the road and see Tolga's car in the same position as it was last Sunday.

Keep on enjoying your 'Tolga Time' and we will be thinking of you too.

Looking foward to seeing you soon.
