| I'm bringing my HD TV over from the UK. Does anyone know if I'll need to buy some sort of adapter or will it be a simple 'plug and play'? Also, anyone know if there's any import charges on these - it's a 52" TV, bought about 12 months ago, not in original box. Cost a bomb. Thanks for any advice/help. |

| If the TV contains an anlogue reciever and you want to get terestrial analog TV via this tuner you may well have issues with sound, as the terestrial broadcasts here use a different frequency for the sound portion of the signal. If you are going to be plugging in some kind of local satelite box, like digiturk then you will be ok, but you may well have problems if you just want to plug in an ordinary analog ariel and get local brodcast TV here. There will be a duty on the import of TVs. There is a duty that is like a kind of TV licenense fee, which is payable even if you import it along with all your other goods when you move out. |
