Does anyone know where I can buy or hire a mains water pressure meter? I would like to install an electric shower but need to check the water pressure first as the supply seems a bit low. Thanks Tim

Tim Is the mains water supply stable enough? The pressure can vary as can the volume of water available. If the shower is suited to the UK it may not be designed to work with the local electrical fluctuations either. certainely fit it through some sort of RCD or ELCB device (I am not competent to advise which).

I think you will find all electric showers have a pump in side them and should work with low pressure

Most UK electric showers work on mains pressure (about 3 bar) and do not require or have a motorised pump of any kind. There are some low pressure pumped electric showers for low pressue tank fed systems but as a general rule they would not heat the water as well.
