apparently, Andis Hadjicostis' assassination was not political according to an Associated Press report http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/E/EU_CYPRUS_PUBLISHER_KILLED?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2010-01-13-11-10-14. But it looks like they don't know who did it and are worried about it stirring up racial tension.

It will be reported when it suits them that Pres Pap's body will be found in TRNC which proves that the TRNC cannot be trusted and should not get to play with the Greek sides' ball. When the dummy flies from the GC pram you can bet your Greek owned land that we will get the blame. We should start a petition headed WE DO NOT HAVE YOUR BODY.

Mal is trying to promote a serious discussion on this thread but once again the morons on this site have taken it off subject and desicrated the subject. It does not matter wether it is GC's or TC'S it is not a nice thing to happen to anyone. These people have familys who are suffering a loss at present so show some respect. How would you feel if it happened to your family but there again there is a saying no sense no feeling.

It is well known that for some time there has been a resurgence of EOKA activity, especially in Paphos 'Bar Street', in the form of attacks on foreign residents and tourists by 'Young EOKA'. I could cite many recent instances of this, and others going back twenty years, or more.



Can it be put down to simple xenophobia?



The GC children are still taught to sing EOKA songs in the schools. So, when the perpetrators declare their EOKA intentions prior to these attacks - then go away, only to return and attack their victims from behind, which is the norm, their motivation is clearly explained.



There were, of course, those that opposed EOKA and subsequently despised Papaliealot. Could it be that a group from this faction were responsible?



As for Andis Hadjicostis: maybe he got the 'wrong peoples'' money a bit muddled up with his own?
