Does anyone know the rules regarding residency,i've been told you can stay for three months go to Turkey come back the next day and stay for another three months and so on,is this true ?

You can get away with leaving the north and coming back into a few times and they will give you 90 days it is not 3 months but you can not keep doing this as they will flag you up and give you only 14 days or less i know this from a friend of mine.



Also if you come into Ercan and think that going over the border into the South will get you a fresh 90 days this is not always the case they will write on your visa how many days you have left.

I didn't explain myself very well,i wanted to know if leaving T.R.N.C.within the 3 months meant you wouldn't have to bother with residency,all you would have to do is leave one day and come back the next and if you bring your car over from the U.K.you wouldn't have to pay any duty on that either,seems a much better way than going through temporary residency and a lot cheaper.
