I would like to apologize to Mrs. Hayran Unwin for my previous posting entitled ‘Criticism for Mrs Unwin’. I would like to elaborate and set the record straight.

• The post was not entirely accurate

• I threw the first punch

• I didn’t think the situation between me and the student mentioned was severe enough to report to any members of staff

• An ‘in-house’ suspension means I’m still being set work by teachers but work in isolation under the supervision of a teacher.

I apologize to Sunny Lane School and Mrs Unwin for causing upset to both and putting the reputation of the school at stake.

I know little of what occurred.

I think that as "static-X" has apologised it would be nice for someone who knows her to take note and let Mrs Unwin know so she can be equally graceful and accept it.

One of the best posts from an eighty years old student (see profile) I've ever seen - but do I smell the help of a lawyer..?

Dear Sunny Lane Student (Static-X)

I appreciate your posting and of course except your apology which I am informed by your Head Teacher that these are your own words written by you.

We will draw a line under this incidence as both parties have accepted their fault in this situation and both have been suitably punished by the School.

Thank you for your apology.

Well done Static

A great and eloquent apology...

Its good to see the young realising when they are wrong, and apologising.....some would not have the bottle to do that..

good luck with your studies

Hayran,

'Accept' & 'except' have entirely the opposite meaning in the context of your reply....I am not trying to be 'smart' with you, except to say that in the context of such a forum this type of 'faux pas' by a senior school official may attrack more ridicule than praise.

To you & anyone trying to better the TRNC, I have the fullest support, but PR is a really fickle & unforgiving world...

Cut the rubbish Middle Easter.

I congratulate both parties for having the wisdom to sort out the problem.
