I've laid out three possible (free) walks in Famagusta, but I need some feed back. 1 : Would you prefer an easy walk of 3 or 5 hours? 2 : Would you prefer to have lunch (not free) during the walk? 3 : Would you prefer to go to Famagusta with your own car or a (mini)bus (not free)? Thank you for your time to reply!

Words of wisdom above and all seem united in 3 hours and a lunch stop - I agree! Of course, it rather depends on start time as well, cos I hate mornings, and as I would drive my own car (could take a dog loving passenger or two), I need 2 hours to get there with all the speed restrictions. It looks as if you won't have too hard a job pleasing everybody, Hans.

I think it's clear: a three hour walk (free) including lunch (not free) and transport with own cars. A form of car pooling may be a good solution, right?

Hans. Just hope you are doing the Famagusta or Lefkosa walks in December, we really enjoyed the Kyrenia one, we were telling two of our grandchildren about it today, the 11yr old grandson asked if he could come with us next time because it sounds interesting.

Ismet, somewhere in another thread I wrote that I'll be in Famagusta tomorrow (Sunday, February 7) to finish/check (the length) of the first Famagusta Walk in 2010. When I'm ready with all the preparations I'll notify the fellows of the MEDIEVAL CYPRUS FELLOWSHIP (MCF) first and they'll have priority to subscribe to this (free) walk. When that's done I'll announce other dates on this board. If people want to be informed with priority about forthcoming MCF events (walks and talks) they can subscribe (free) to the MCF mailing list; just send an email to mcf.trnc@gmail.com => You can opt out of the MCF mailing list any time you wish. Your email address will be confidential and will never be used for any other purpose than sending you information about the MCF activities.
