Today the merger of orbit and show began, things are a bit confused ie; early morning, sports channels were on previous show series channels.



Nothing at all last few hours.

The Orbit and showtime merger took place today. This is nothing to do with Dopi. All the channels are still available and work fine, but have just moved around. eg Lifestyle is now on Hallmark. Im sure if you take your box into Dopi they will be able to get the channels in order again so that the Guide relates to the channel. Bit frustrating but not Dopi`s fault and i would guess that unless you want to sit for hours sorting out the channels yourself it would be better just to take the box to them, I doubt they will come and do it without a charge as your not losing any channels and its not their fault!!

Called in at Dopi today and Namek said to take the box in tomorrow and he will update it. Better than trying to sort it out ourselves I think.

Gone through the whole list.... cant find showcinema 1 , 2 or 3 . used to be on 2724/5/and 6 respectively also

missing show series+. got the dream cinema(siver box) decoder. managed to find more or less everything else.

I Hope the owners of Dopi read this.



Why didn't Dopi contact all their customers either via email or text message to say that all the showtime channels had changed and to bring the box back in for updating. This would have saved the customer time and effort trying to contact them to say something was wrong.



I personally took my box in this morning 9.45am approx and they said it would be ready in about an hour. Still waiting for the call.

Thinking of trying Dopi but would appreciate any comments. I know they had problems at the back end of last year but apart from this channel update would you carry on with them? Coming out in March to sort things out.

Dont know which system to go for.

Took box in this afternoon, along with the neighbours, took about 5 mins - all working fine again, everything seems to be where it should be.



To be fair to Dopi, I believe that there was some kind of announcement over the past few days at least, on the TV when switched on saying that something was changing from 1st Feb......unfortunately, hubby didn't catch what it said.

Here in Oman all decoders needed to be rescanned to receive new channels. Showseries+ no longer exists!
