Always find going out to restaurants on valentines night a bit 'tacky.' Over-priced, lovey-dovey menu's, with very little originality. But if you always cook, or want a break from the kids, it's probably a nice change.

It might be nice if you cook together, each choosing something special you both like, or each prepare a course that is your partners favourite?

Try Midsummer House in Catalkoy. Wonderful food and venue and no I am not related or connected to the owners in any way, just getting that in before someone asks politely!!

Overpriced sentimental rip off day it should be called.

Another excuse for the restaurant owners to over charge, just like Christmas.

One friend was told at Christmas that the reason the charge was high is that the staff had to come in over a holiday.

It's just commercial hype.

myself and my friends love our guys to take us out on Valentines day, its only once a year and to us it does feel special. Having said that we all eat out as much as possible any way, because we love the ambience and our circle loves a get together.

Xmas, New Year, Valentines Day, Easter, Birthdays, Weddings, Christenings!!!!!!!!!!!! lets Party!! I love it xx

Re message 2 and 6 Not all Restaurants are the same,we do not charge any more for Valentines Day or Christmas Party menus,in fact for Valentines the cost to us is extra because of the extra special complimentry after dinner chocolates, and the same applies @ Christmas Party time, free crackers/poppers and christmas decs.

eating out on valentines night is more cheesy than a cheese fondue night round the Mongers and the prices are a joke....

We (15's bar in Alsancak) are having a "non-valentines" party! no love hearts, no soft music, no change in our pricing all welcome but please no romance (just for one day)!

For something a little bit different, we are having a Valentines Cabaret Evening on Fri 12th, with 3 course meal (incl sparkling wine, chocs etc). Entertainment is by Derek Heaney (cabaret act from the South and also Kelvin).

It's also not just for couples! We are also taking bookings from Singles as well and are happy to seat as many people together as you would like, so if you fancy something a bit different for Valentines, pls contact either Daren or Phil on 0533 863 8499. It's 50 tl per person and it will be a really great night! For further details & menu choices, just give us a call or pop in and see us!
