Go to the car tax office and ask there. Last year we had to go between the old and new tax offices (just across the road from each other). It may all be down in the 'new' tax office now. Hope that's not too confusing...

Yes. I know what you mean. Thanks. Is it still 20 percent of your monthly lets. Hopefully someone there speaks good enough English but do you know how it works if you have only 1 week a month rental or a full month. Do they take it as it is ie tax on 1 week a months rental or do they want a full months tax off you whether rented or not! Will try find out tomorrow but an idea before hand would be good!

This is not a challenge to anyone, but why don't people who rent out their properties need a work/business permit? Their business is the renting out of property in TRNC and in return they collect an income (rent). Paying the 10% rental tax seems to be a doddle compared to getting a work permit or setting up a business. Now I'll be accused of putting ideas in the govs head!!

you have to have your rental contract stamped first, that is in the new buildimg where the cashier is. Then go over the road to the office on the right. Fill in the form there and you will need your passport number. The lady there will process this and then back over to the new building to pay at the cashiers. The following months miss out stage one
