Interested in whether anyone has had this done, how much, did it work to stop leaks etc. Any feedback much appreciated.

There was someone doing this work a while back. It wasn't a great success. I think he now works on the Greek side. There isn't anyone doing it now as far as I know. A few years ago we had to convert a lined pool back to tiles as it didn't stop the leaks (liner was badly fitted). Its not the tiles that make a pool watertight, it's what's under the tiles. We will be doing a tiled repair just across the Riverside roundabout from you in a few weeks time. Come and have a look when you see us start.

Thanks for clearing that up for me Vaughan. I think the only way we could stop our pool leaking now is having all tiles removed and start from scratch, too expensive too be honest. Had holes plugged up behind lights, no leaks in overflow or balance tank as tests have been run without pump on.

A couple of years ago I had enough leakage from my pool to cause a shortage in Catalkoy (well almost). Called in 'specialists' (not in existance now, surprisingly) and they recommended having it lined with a vinyl being used in the South. Cost £2,500. This was done and what a waste of time and money it was! Last year called in Octopus and they ripped out this lining and the old tiling and then retiled the pool for me. It was not cheap, but so far I am more than happy with the results. In my humble opinion (and £2,500 down the drown), so don't bother with lining, do as I did, have a good job done and be prepared to pay for it. John.
