We were getting a lot of complaints that GC and TC users of NCFP were taking over the site with unpleasant comments. We have decided to install a system where if a reader finds a comments they like or dislike then they can vote for it. If the comment gets 4 or more "thumbs down" votes (at the moment) then the comment can only be read by clicking a link. Hopefully this will alert people to comments they can chose not to read.

This is just a trial at the moment and we'd appreciate any feedback on this system.

I think this is a good idea malcolm. I like your site but to be honest it does get a bit much trawling through all the insults being hurled around (at us!), and unfortunately, meaningful comments (of which there have not been too many of late) are lost in the garbage.

I'm glad you like the idea, quite a few of the insults have disappeared because people are giving them the thumbs down. Wish I'd put it on earlier as we're up to 4000 comments of which 1500 were spam!
